While East Asian countries such Japan, Korea and Taiwan seem to always make headlines on creative new desserts. Bangkok is loudly causing a ruckus and letting the rest of Asia know that its just as f’en awesome as those East Asian countries. At the forefront of this movement is CODE Cafe of Dessert Enthusiast, a dessert shop located in the northern part of Bangkok. In the Asian media, they’ve recently made waves with the world’s first Lava Toast.

Taking a quick look through their Facebook page, you see they make other exploding pastries. Such as this lava croissant.

According to bk.asia-city, each pastry can be injected with one of four types of filling. Eaters can choose from salted egg yolk, Thai tea, matcha and chocolate.

That Thai tea option sounds mighty awesome.
